The AOI Ensemble is bringing their sold out Sydney Fringe improv comedy show (blank)town to Newcastle Fringe 2025, with accessible pricing of only $20 per ticket.

A hysterically funny improvised comedy about a crazy town in the middle of anywhere – the town is created by audience.

Two shows only, at The Royal Exchange, Newcastle: Saturday 22 March & Sunday 23 March 2025.

Every show is different and completely made up on the spot. The audience creates a crazy fictional town, and then our improvisors are let loose to make complete fun of it!

After sold out shows at Sydney Fringe 2022, 2023 and 2024, we had a choice of Fringe Festivals but chose to bring this crazy event exclusively to Newcastle — apparently, one of the cast members was born here — as a warm up for the Sydney Comedy Festival 2025.

We strongly support the Newcastle Fringe! The principal purpose of Newcastle Fringe is to support independent artists and promote independent arts in Newcastle. The aim of the not for profit is to be the best little fringe that they can be, connecting to the global fringe movement and encouraging visitation to Newcastle by artists (that’s us!) and audiences (that’s you, plus our regulars!) alike.
